Does Nova Poshta deliver paintings abroad?

Many Ukrainians love and often use the services of Nova Poshta. This company has been a leading one in Ukraine for many years in the small and medium logistics industry. But in November 2015, Nova Poshta announced international delivery. 

The company's news appeared on November 17, 2015, and greatly pleased Ukrainians who gained the additional opportunity of affordable international shipping. Now it is already 2023 and Nova Poshta still does not handle the delivery of art objects outside Ukraine. According to point 7 of the rules "List of Dangerous, Prohibited, and Items Not Accepted for Transportation and Shipments by LLC "NP GLOBAL"", original art objects are not accepted by Nova Poshta for international delivery (shipping). 

But in practice, Nova Poshta employees sometimes accept paintings for delivery abroad. Unfortunately, many of these parcels are returned to the senders. The second important point to pay attention to is packaging. When a parcel goes through 3, 5, 8 international terminals, travels on conveyor belts in sorting centers, it may accidentally fall several times – special packaging is needed to ensure the integrity of the contents.

In the case of paintings, graphics, sculptures – packaging is a very important element of the service. If you make a poor-quality, unreliable, and unattractive box (packaging), the recipient will perceive it as a lack of regard for the art object. If the sender loves the art object, respects it and its future owner – the packaging should be appropriate. 

The photo shows a box that was made by Nova Poshta employees for delivering a painting abroad. The parcel was delivered to the border, customs officials opened the parcel and sent it back to the sender. The painting was a gift for a specific date for a respected company employee, and unfortunately, the sender wasted 3 weeks, spent money on shipping, and had to deal with sending again, but through another company.

By the way, the painting was not damaged on the way to the border and back, which is very reassuring.

As is known, Nova Poshta uses 3-layer cardboard, bubble wrap, and foam. By the way, they are actively trying to replace the last element with an eco-friendly material - dense kraft paper. These are excellent packaging materials, but as we have already realized, they are suitable only for delivery within Ukraine. For international delivery, you need to account for 2-3 times more variations of events.
