This document specifies all the details of the transaction: a description of the artwork, information about the seller and the buyer, the delivery address, price and payment terms. Without a properly issued invoice it is impossible to legally sell a painting abroad, complete customs clearance or insure the work during transport. 

What is the appraised value of a painting? It's the price that will be stated in the export permit, in the customs declaration, and the amount for which the painting or sculpture will be insured against loss, damage, and other risks during international shipping.

The ArtDom gallery workshop has been manufacturing boxes for shipping paintings abroad since 2016. We have created an original design so that collectors and art lovers receive paintings whole and undamaged. We have already sent more than 1,000 international parcels, and in this article we will show the process of manufacturing our boxes and conduct a small crash test.
