"Sumy - New York - cities united by art" - Exhibition of paintings by Pyotr Kishenyuk
To celebrate the Constitution Day of Ukraine, the Sumy Regional Art Museum named after Nikanor Onatsky held the grand opening of the exhibition by Pyotr Kishenyuk "Sumy - New York. To the Constitution Day of Ukraine Sumy Regional Art Museum named after Nikanor Onatsky held the opening night of the exhibition of Peter Kishenyuk - "Sumy - New York. Cities United by Art", which presented more than sixty picturesque and graphic genre motifs, landscapes of New York and Sumy Region, painted in recent years.
For more than 6 years Peter Kishenyuk lived and worked in New York. His art is akin to the stylistic style of the Expressionists and Impressionists. From life he creates vivid urban motifs of New York, Brooklyn and views of his native Ukraine.
Kishenyuk Petro Ivanovich was born in 1965 in the town of Novyi Rozdol, Lviv region. He graduated from Mirgorod Ceramic College named after N. A. Gogol in 1986. Graduated from N.A. Gogol Ceramic College in 1986. Then - Lviv Academy of Arts, Department of Architectural and Decorative Plastics.
Since 1998, with interruptions works in Sumy Regional Art Museum. Since 1998 he has been working intermittently as an artist-restorer at the Sumy Regional Art Museum named after N. Onatsky. He is qualified in restoration of sculptures, paintings, graphics, as well as ceramics.
During his studies at educational institutions and on his own, he became familiar with various techniques and styles of painting. He actively uses them in his art, trying in each case to choose the right ones to display his impressions on canvas, and, if necessary, he quotes the places he likes.
The exhibition includes portrait, still life, landscape, paintings-reflections, paintings-expressions, paintings-expressions.
Works of the artist are in private collections in Ukraine, as well as - Europe and America.
The artist was congratulated by museum workers, chairman of the Sumy branch of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Ivan Gapochenko, Honored Artist of Ukraine Alexander Cherednichenko, who wished the author further creative successes.
A separate musical gift was the play of saxophonist Ryabiko Alexey (student of Sumy Vocational College of Arts and Culture named after D.S. Bortnyansky).
Among those present were journalists, musicians, artists and the creative community of the city. The exhibition took place during July 2021.
Peter loves to travel, he has traveled around Europe, Eastern countries, and from every trip brings impressions - which embodies in painting and graphics.
