Korsun Dmitry

Korsun Dmitry - famous Ukrainian artist, art critic, historian, restorer, art critic, poet.

Born on November 9, 1959, in the village of Pniv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Received two higher educations: history and art. In 1982 he graduated from the Kiev State Pedagogical Institute. In 1995 he entered the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, studied with an outstanding teacher - Viktor Puzyrkov.

The direction of Dmitry Korsun’s creativity and the basis of his handwriting is impressionism.

In 2008 he became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In the period 1984 - 1986 he worked as a research assistant at the Museum of History of Kyiv. From 1986 to 1990 he worked as a restorer of temple painting monuments.

Since 1989, he regularly took part in city, national, and international exhibitions. The artist has more than 20 personal exhibitions.

Dmitry Korsun is the author of scientific articles about Ukrainian art and Ukrainian artists - Tiberiy Silvashi, Anatoly Krivolap, Vladislav Shereshevsky and many others. Article-stories contain an original interpretation of the work of Ukrainian artists in the context of the global and domestic artistic environment.
