Packing and shipping of paintings to the USA
Often artists send us their paintings for us to do a "turnkey" delivery, i.e. make export documents (expert's conclusion), packaging and hand over to the postal operator for delivery abroad.
If the picture is "fresh", was painted recently, covered with varnish - we necessarily protect the picture with special tishyu paper. This paper unlike film and bubbles will not leave prints, will not spoil the work during transportation. For example, in summer the air temperature is high, so packed materials can stick to the paint layer.
Since we ship most of our packages to the United States, so we need to protect the package as much as possible on such a long journey. We package in accordance with international shipping standards and use high quality materials.
We take 5-ply high-density cardboard, create a "lid" design and cut cardboard corners for the frame:
Insert a sheet of foam and protect the corners of the box:
We wrap the painting with bubble wrap, place it in the box and "close" the construction with corners:

The box for sending the painting abroad is ready! We glue stickers with the inscription "Fragile", the document for export (expert's report) and details of the sender and recipient of the parcel.
After the painting is shipped, we give the artist a tracking number to track the parcel and a website link for real-time tracking.
It took 2 days for all the actions, after which it remains to wait another 10-20 days for the delivery of the painting to the addressee in the USA.
