Permission for Exporting Art During Wartime

After several months, many state experts in Ukraine have resumed their work.

We regularly update information as many artists and collectors are transporting their works for exhibitions or relocating to new places of residence. 

When crossing the Ukrainian border, the customs service requires a document for each artwork – a certificate of state examination of cultural values. 

The expert's certificate includes a specific statement "May be exported (sent) from the territory of Ukraine." This document confirms that the art object is contemporary and not a national-scale cultural value – therefore, it can be exported or mailed worldwide.

Above, we’ve attached a scanned copy of one of the latest certificates issued by the National Art Museum in Kyiv. If your artwork was created after 2000, feel free to contact us. We will gladly provide consultation on how to obtain such a certificate for your artwork.
