Transportation of paintings and sculptures to Europe from a reliable carrier
Art DomFebruary 18, 2024Transportation of art objects requires a meticulous approach to the matter. All personnel must carefully pick up a painting or sculpture, carefully pack it and securely fix it in the back of the car.
We recently transported more than 30 sculptures from a workshop in Kyiv to a warehouse in Germany. You can watch more about this case in our video:
We received a list of sculptures for transportation from the sculptor.
Most of the sculptures were human-sized, each sculpture weighed more than 50 kg.
Having received a preliminary cost estimate, we met with the sculptor in his workshop and got to know each other. Also, we inspected the entire scope of work - dimensions, weight and quantity.
The sculptures have already been carefully packaged by the sculptor himself, so we just have to make sure of the functionality and reliability of the packaging:

We prepared documents for the export of art objects from an expert and other accompanying documents.
The most important and difficult thing remains - transportation. We carefully loaded all the sculptures into the truck and added packing materials to ensure that the sculptures did not put pressure on each other or touch each other.

More than 1,700 km on the way and all the sculptures were delivered to the sculptor’s storage facility intact and safe. The entire transportation procedure took 6 days.
