Turansky Alexander
Ukrainian painter. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1967.
He was born on July 22, 1936 in the city of Berdychev, Zhytomyr region (Ukraine).
On January 4, 1938, Oleksiy Turanskyi's father was shot (posthumously rehabilitated).
In 1948 Alexander return to Ukraine after staying in Dzhambul region (Kazakhstan).
In 1950-1954 he studied at the Kyiv Art School (teachers Volobuev, Zorya, Yatchenko).
1951 - the first participation in the jubilee art exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the death of M. Gogol.
Since 1952, he has participated in republican art exhibitions, since 1961 - all-Union art exhibitions. In 1955-1961, he studied at the Kyiv State Art Institute (teachers by specialty: Trofymenko, Kostetskyi, Puzyrkov).
1957 - participation in exhibitions of the Moscow Ecumenical Festival.
1958, participation in a youth exhibition, Kyiv.
In total, he participated in more than 70 exhibitions.
1966, participation in the 1st All-Union Exhibition of Young Artists, Moscow. Prize of the Union of Artists of the USSR for the painting "Insurgents".
1966-1968 - work in the houses of creativity "Senezh" and "Sedniv".
1958-1989 - creative trips to the Far East, the Kuril Islands, Kamchatka, Bukhara, Samarkand, Khiva, the Caucasus, the Crimea, the Carpathians, the South of Ukraine, the Baltic States.
1992 - a personal exhibition at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Ukraine on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of his father - Oleksiy Turanskyi.
1995 - work at the house of creativity "Ochakiv".
1951-2006 - constant participation in all-Ukrainian and foreign art exhibitions.
Lives and works in Kyiv, paints pictures in the field of easel painting.
Paintings of Oleksandr Turanskyi are kept in more than 10 museums throughout Ukraine - Vinnytsia Museum of Local Lore, Horliv Art Museum, Donetsk Art Museum, Izmail Art Gallery, Military Museum of the Western Border District (Kyiv), People's Museum of Glory of the North Kazakhstan Region, Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi historians-cultural reserve, Sumy Art Museum, Chervonograd Museum of Local Lore, Chernihiv Art Museum, Yagotyn Museum of Local Lore, Yampil National Art Gallery.
