Taverovsky Igor - Ukrainian surrealist
In this article we will get acquainted with a talented artist, a representative of Ukrainian surrealism, which can be safely called the "Ukrainian Salvador Dali - Taverovsky Igor Abramovich.
From an interview with BOST-ART, a private art gallery in Kiev:
"My creativity is myself. It is my moment of inspiration that I want to write, when I don't even have the strength to respond to an internal stimulus, that is, to send everything to hell. I get involved in the work, bring it to an end, and then I do whatever I want, but I don't paint anymore..
I have never felt the torment of creativity. Tidiness, meticulousness and perfection are trained by Zapod. My requirements for framing are the same as those for a completed work of art.Music has a prominent place in my life. Jan Garbarek, Keith Gerret, Relf Towner, are the source of my creativity. To an expert, the term "jazz" and "modern jazz" are far from identical. It's just that their free improvisations can easily be read in my paintings, in artistic treatments, of course.
My idol artists are not unknown. That's why I don't avoid their influence or sometimes inheritance. René Magritte, Maurice Escher.
The only thing I would like to change in my art is the size of my paintings. I want to paint huge canvases so much, unlimited by space, framing, paints, fatigue, energy, life.
I write things that have nothing to do with symbolism or reality. I don't even write thoughts, but a mirror image of them. The otherworldly world of my hopes.
A finished painting needs a title. My paintings have no title. I respect the viewer, the collector, the like-minded. I think that the title only distracts a person from personal perception."
