Anna Dub - Ukrainian artist

Hanna Dub is a Ukrainian artist, founder and teacher of the art workshop “RAFINAD”. In my work, I explore the interaction of color, form, light and texture, using images of flowers, fruits, natural motifs and symbols to convey emotional states. After the start of the full-scale invasion, painting acquired special meaning for me. It became a way of understanding reality and searching for inner light, strength and vital energy. The theme of stability, memory and life affirmation runs through a significant part of my works. I work mainly with oil and acrylic, using a palette knife, multi-layering and expressive texture. My painting combines rich color, impasto and decorative plasticity. In large floral compositions, expressive still lifes and symbolic series, I am not interested in the literal reproduction of the subject, but in its emotional sound - rhythm, color and space as independent means of artistic language. My works are represented in private and corporate collections in Ukraine and abroad, and have also been exhibited in gallery and exhibition spaces.
