Herman Medvetsky

Artist, painter. Odessa, Ukraine

Herman Medvetsky was born in 1967 in Odessa. His professional career in art began in his youth, at the K. Kostandi Odessa Art School and the M. B. Grekov Odessa Art College. In 1991, he graduated with honors from the Architecture Department of the Odessa Civil Engineering Institute.

The combination of his artistic and architectural education shaped his unique approach to composition, space, form, and color.

For many years, Herman was actively involved in the artistic life of Odessa and other cities in Ukraine. His work primarily focuses on formal still lifes, seascapes, and cityscapes.

Today, the artist works in an expressive manner, creating paintings in which color, light, and form combine to create a holistic emotional experience. His paintings are not simply depictions of objects or landscapes, but rather an attempt to convey their mood, energy, and beauty.

Over the years, Herman Medvetsky has created over 4,800 paintings. His works are held in private collections in Ukraine, the USA, Israel, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Greece, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Serbia, Ireland, and other countries.

Today, Herman's paintings represent his unique perspective on the world, expressed through color, light, and free artistic energy.
