Tkachenko Olesya - Ukrainian artist

Tkachenko Olesya is a contemporary Ukrainian artist who works with textile materials, creating unique paintings from cotton, wool and silk.
Born in 1977. In 1998 – graduated from the Luhansk Art School, specializing in artist and designer. In 2005 – received the qualification level "Specialist" in artistic painting of fabrics at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, Department of Textiles. In 2011 – received a Master's degree and acquired the qualification of a textile artist, researcher, teacher. From 2006 to 2015, a teacher at the College of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design (KNUTD). Since 2015 – head of her own art studio "Yarkovo".
Creative works are in private collections in Ukraine, Europe and the USA.
Since 2014, Olesya has taken part in more than 30 exhibitions and biennials in Italy, Turkey, Poland and Ukraine. She is also a laureate of the international exhibition-competition UkrainianArtWeek (nomination "Best textile painting and panel"), the competition of the V All-Ukrainian Triennial of Art Textiles (nomination "For the originality of the author's technique"), the exhibition "From the Earth to the Sun" (for the use of the latest technologies in modern textiles), the XI International Exhibition-Competition of Contemporary Art (1st place in the nomination "Textile painting and panel").
