Dub Anna - Ukrainian artist

Dub Anna is a contemporary Ukrainian painter, founder and instructor of the "RAFINAD" art studio. In her artistic practice, she explores the interaction of color, form, light, and texture, using natural motifs and symbolic imagery to convey emotional states.
The main directions of her artistic work include floral compositions, expressive still lifes, and symbolic painting. Anna works primarily with oil and acrylic paints, actively employing palette knives, layered paint application, and impasto techniques. Her paintings are distinguished by rich color palettes, expressive textures, and decorative forms.
Flowers, fruits, and other natural forms play an important role in Anna Dub's artistic language. Rather than focusing on the precise reproduction of the visible world, the artist seeks to reveal its emotional significance. Color, rhythm, and composition become independent means of artistic expression, shaping the atmosphere and internal dynamics of her works.
Following the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, painting acquired special significance for Anna, becoming a way to process reality and find inner strength. Themes of resilience, memory, vital energy, and hope are reflected in her artistic imagery. Even in works based on familiar natural motifs, the artist explores the preservation of inner light and the human ability to withstand difficult circumstances.
Alongside her own artistic practice, Anna Dub is actively involved in art education. She founded the "RAFINAD" art studio, where she teaches students practical painting skills while developing their sense of color, composition, and individual artistic thinking.
Anna Dub's artistic practice combines the emotional expressiveness of contemporary painting, the decorative qualities of natural imagery, and a desire to convey a sense of vitality, resilience, and hope through art.
