Chervatiuk Volodymyr - Ukrainian artist

Chervatiuk Volodymyr - was born in 1950 in Kyiv. A talented Ukrainian graphic artist and painter. In 2012 he received the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. Since 2013, he has been an associate professor of the painting and graphics department at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.

Education:

In 1968 he graduated from the Republican Art School named after Taras Shevchenko, now the Kiev State Art Lyceum named after Taras Shevchenko.

In 1974 he graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute, now the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Professor Selivanov’s machine graphics workshop), specializing in graphic artist.

Creative activity:

Since 1976, he has been taking part in creative trips around Ukraine and the former USSR, connected with collecting material for the following graphic series: 1976 – construction of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, 1977 – construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline, 1979 – new buildings in Western Siberia, 1980 – construction of the Odessa Port Plant.

He was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Central Committee of the Leninist Young Communist League of Moscow, awards of the USSR Ministry of Culture, and the Directorate of the Southwestern District of Border Troops.

Laureate of the Republican Komsomol Prize named after M. Ostrovsky (1988).

Since 1977 – member of the National Society of Artists of Ukraine.

Exhibitions:

He began his exhibition activities in 1972 and took part in more than 140 exhibitions.

Since 1991 he has taken part in All-Ukrainian and international exhibitions.

Personal exhibitions in Kyiv – House of Scientists (1990, 1995), Gallery 36 (1996, 2003), Artist (2000).

In recent years, he took part in the All-Ukrainian autumn exhibitions dedicated to Artist’s Day (2006-2009).

Since the early 1990s, the artist has turned to painting, actively working in the genre of landscape and still life, following a realistic view of art.

The artist's works are kept in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine, the Exhibition Directorate of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, museums of Ukraine, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, France, USA, Germany, Canada and China.
