LEMZYAKOV Volodymyr Gennadievich was born on June 28, 1966, in Ivano-Frankivsk. Graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing (formerly Ivan Fedorov Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute).
Works Lemzyakov V.G. are stored in the National Art Museum of Ukraine (Kiev), in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

In 1946, he entered the art school at the Kiev State Art Institute.
One of the most skilful painters of Ukraine. His work is a constant "search of himself" in painting and drawing, which is why in Zaretskyy V.G. has no single style, but there is a unique style inherent in his works. At the beginning of his career the artist worked in the style of realism, then added a touch of Impressionism, the coloring of folk painting, and then - created unique paintings in the style of modernism.
In 1989, friends of the artist arranged his first solo exhibition at the Kiev House of Scientists. 29 works were purchased at Christie's auction.
Zaretskyy V.I. is one of the most studied among the Ukrainian artists of the second half of XX century. He is devoted to him articles, term papers, thesis and dissertation research. Published fundamental monographs: "The Master, doomed by the era" 2006, "The Scale of fate of Victor Zaretsky" 2008, 2011.
In 1993 the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and the National Academy of Fine Arts of Ukraine established the Victor Zaretsky Prize for Young Artists. In 1994 he was posthumously awarded the Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine for the paintings of the last years of his life.
