Shneier Oleksii - Ukrainian artist

Oleksii Shneier is a contemporary Ukrainian graphic artist, illustrator, psychologist, and creator of thematic graphic series. He lives and works in Kyiv. Drawing forms the foundation of his artistic practice, with line, movement, and emotional intensity serving as his primary means of expression.

Oleksii Shneier has been drawing since early childhood. Alongside his artistic practice, he received professional training in practical psychology and group psychoanalysis. Since the 1990s, he has worked as a consulting psychologist and business trainer. His interest in human psychology, inner experiences, and interpersonal relationships is also reflected in his graphic works.

In his artistic practice, Shneier prioritizes the expressiveness of line over color, movement over static composition, and emotional content over decorative appeal. His drawings often emerge as spontaneous responses to what he observes: chance encounters, urban scenes, human gestures, and everyday situations. His free and expressive drawing style allows him to capture the character of his subjects and the atmosphere of a moment using minimal graphic elements.

Oleksii Shneier's artistic portfolio includes thematic series exploring love, human relationships, music, philosophical reflections, and travel. Among his projects are the graphic series "Lines of Love," "Lines of Passion," "Woman," "Musicians," and "Psychological Portraits," as well as collections of drawings inspired by Kyiv, Lviv, Rome, Tbilisi, and Portugal.

The artist has held solo exhibitions in Kyiv, including at the IMAGO Design Studio (2014), BUKITORIYA Art Cafe (2019), and 88HALL Gallery (2021).

Another important area of his artistic activity is book illustration. Oleksii Shneier creates illustrations and artistic designs for literary publications. According to the artist, he has contributed to the illustration and design of more than 20 books by various authors. His works are featured in his own art albums and online gallery.

Oleksii Shneier's artistic practice combines keen observation, an interest in human nature, and a spontaneous graphic style in which line becomes a powerful means of conveying movement, character, and emotional expression.
