Pavlyuk Galina - Ukrainian artist

Pavlyuk Galina

Pavliuk Galina – a renowned Ukrainian artist whose work is filled with жизнерадостность (joie de vivre), light, and vibrant colors. Born in Odesa in 1955 into a family of hereditary artists, she literally absorbed a love for art from early childhood. Her father, Heorhiy Pavliuk, was a Honored Artist of Ukraine, her mother, Zhanna Pavliuk-Sudyina, was a talented ceramic artist, and her grandfather, Mykola Pavliuk, was a famous master of painting. Such a hereditary connection to art predetermined her creative path and formed a deep intuitive understanding of composition, color, and texture.

Galina Pavliuk received her professional education at the Kyiv State Art Institute (graduated in 1981), where Viktor Shatalin was her mentor. Since 1987, she has been a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, which testifies to her recognition in the artistic community.

Throughout her creative career, Halyna Pavliuk has actively participated in numerous art exhibitions since 1980. Her solo exhibitions were successfully held in her native Odesa from 2007 to 2011, attracting the attention of art connoisseurs with their positive energy and bright colors.

The artist works in the traditions of Ukrainian realistic painting, but at the same time, she is drawn to the work of French Impressionists and the South Russian School of Painting with its special attention to the transmission of the light and air environment. Her favorite genres are still lifes, landscapes, and portraits, in which she masterfully conveys the beauty of the surrounding world and subtle nuances of mood.

Flowers, especially tulips, which on her canvases seem to radiate vitality and energy, occupy a special place in Galina Pavliuk's work. Art critic Lyudmyla Saulenko notes the "thick colorful mixture" of her works, from which life itself seems to be molded.

Halyna Pavliuk's paintings are held in private collections of art connoisseurs from many countries around the world, including Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the USA, and Japan. Her talent resonates with viewers worldwide, being perceived as genuinely Odesan thanks to the rich colors, all-conquering light, and the feeling of warm air that are so characteristic of her canvases.

Galina Pavliuk's works are kept in the National Art Museum of Ukraine (Kyiv) and the Chernihiv Art Museum, which testifies to their significance for the national cultural heritage.

Halyna Pavliuk is an artist who puts a piece of her soul, emotions, and a desire to convey all the best that can be felt into each of her paintings. Her жизнерадостные (joyful), color-filled, and life-loving canvases give viewers a sense of warmth, light, and the beauty of the surrounding world.
