The small still life "Spring Flowers" shows two bouquets in glass vases standing side by side on a sunlit table. On the left is a tall, narrow vase of greenish glass holding white narcissi with orange centres, fiery and burgundy tulips and one pinkish lilac bloom. On the right is a lower, wider vase with red tulips, long juicy leaves and a purple flower at the very edge. The background is built from horizontal bands of lilac, grey, blue and ochre that read as a view through a window. Below, the white tabletop and the cool blue shadows of the vases balance the bright upper part of the composition. The taller bouquet on the left sets the rhythm of the whole picture, and the one on the right picks up its colour as if answering it.

The work is painted in Yegor Dulin's characteristic impasto manner: the flowers are modelled with short, broad palette knife movements, the paint lies in thick facets, and each petal looks like a small shard of colour. Vertical strokes of green, yellow and white in the glass convey the transparency and sparkle of the water without drawing any details. The background is laid in with long horizontal sweeps of the knife, and the canvas texture shows clearly through it. In the lower left corner are the artist's signature and the year: Yehor Dulin 26.

The colour scheme is bright and festive. Pure orange, scarlet and cherry tones of the tulips meet the whiteness of the narcissi and the cool lilac haze of the background, while the emerald green of the stems ties both bouquets together. Light falls from the side and floods the table, making the shadows blue and transparent. The painting breathes early spring: freshness, the first warm sun and the joy of the first flowers brought into the house. Even the lilac bands of the background seem warmed by the sun.

Yegor Dulin has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2010. In 2025 his series of paintings "Sea" won in its nomination and was published in the pages of the London newspaper The Times. His works are held in private collections in Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and other countries.

The compact 35 × 40 cm size lets you hang the painting almost anywhere: in the kitchen above the dining table, in the hallway, in the bedroom, on a narrow wall or paired with another small work. Its bright yet harmonious palette suits both white minimalist interiors and cosy homes with textiles and wood, and the painting easily becomes an accent on a bookshelf. It is an excellent gift for a woman for International Women's Day, a birthday or simply in spring: living flowers that will never fade.
