The painting "September Sings" is a lush autumn composition that fills almost the entire vertical canvas. The bouquet seems to cascade from top to bottom, widening towards the lower edge: large white flowers with pink veins and yellow stamens open in the centre, while deep red blooms with velvety petals glow beside them. Among them the artist has placed the gifts of early autumn — spiky green chestnut husks with glossy nuts, acorns, clusters of viburnum, blackberries, orange physalis lanterns, ears of grain and crimson leaves. On the right, two pale moths flutter against the dark background, adding lightness and movement to the scene. The composition is arranged so that the eye moves from the pale flowers in the centre to the berries and leaves at the edges, constantly discovering new details.

The work is executed in a dual technique: an acrylic base is complemented by oil layers, which makes it possible to refine small details while achieving a deep, rich background. The realistic manner shows in the careful modelling of forms: the translucent folds of petals, the gloss of blackberries, the spines on the chestnut husks and the fine veins of the leaves are all visible. Each element is painted with attention to texture, yet remains subordinate to the overall diagonal of the bouquet, which reads as a single whole.

The colour scheme is built on the contrast between a dark green-grey background and warm autumn hues. Red, burgundy, orange and golden brown sound especially vivid next to the white flowers, which become the light centre of the picture. The blue and violet blackberries add cool accents and balance the palette. The mood of the work is solemn and somewhat intimate: it recalls the generosity of September, the time of harvest and the beauty that is especially precious at the turn from summer to autumn. The dark background works like velvet drapery, against which every fruit and petal looks especially sculptural.

Evgenia Bilet is a contemporary Ukrainian artist who turns to the beauty of nature in her work. The main themes of her paintings are floral compositions, landscapes, birds and the diversity of the world around us. She combines a realistic manner of depiction with an individual artistic vision.

This large-format painting will become the main accent of a living room, dining room or spacious hall, especially in interiors with warm wood, dark walls or classic furniture. The rich autumn palette supports a cosy home atmosphere during the colder months. The work will make a fine gift for a woman who loves flowers and finely detailed painting, as well as for any admirer of realistic still lifes.
