“Irises” is an expressive floral composition by Maksym Babych, celebrating the beauty and variety of garden flowers. The focus is on lush irises with yellow, white, and purple petals, surrounded by dense greenery. The artist depicts the plants in close-up, filling almost the entire canvas and creating the impression of a flourishing garden.

The color palette is particularly striking. Sunny yellow and delicate white flowers contrast with the rich lilac and violet shades of the irises. Various tones of green, turquoise, and blue form an expressive background of leaves and stems. Broad, free-flowing brushstrokes convey the texture of the petals, the play of light, and the natural movement of the plants.

The work reveals elements of Post-Impressionism and Expressionism. The artist uses color not only to depict natural hues but also as an independent means of artistic expression. Simplified forms, energetic brushwork, and a saturated palette create a vivid, emotional impression while preserving the recognizable floral subject.

The painting evokes the atmosphere of a spring or summer garden filled with light and blossoms. The combination of delicate petals and deep green tones creates a sense of natural harmony while giving the composition a distinctive decorative quality.

“Irises” can become a vibrant focal point in a living room, bedroom, dining room, or country home. It will look particularly effective in interiors featuring natural materials, light-colored furniture, and a calm color palette.

This original work by Maksym Babych will appeal to admirers of floral painting, richly textured oil techniques, and expressive depictions of nature.
