"Sunny Flowers" shows a dense bed of yellow tulips seen very close up, as if the viewer were leaning over a spring flowerbed. Dozens of buds fill almost the entire canvas: at the bottom they are larger and more tightly packed, while towards the top they become smaller and gradually dissolve into a pale, misty background. Long green leaves rise between the flowers, and on the right the image seems to melt away, leaving only scattered silhouettes of buds. The composition is built on the rhythm of repeated oval shapes scattered across the canvas like patches of sunlight.

The painting is done in acrylic in a light, painterly manner. The artist builds the buds from translucent layers, combining pure lemon yellow with warm ochre and almost white highlights, so that some flowers seem flooded with light while others recede into shadow. The leaves and background are laid in with broad, gliding strokes through which the texture of the canvas shows in places. There are hardly any firm outlines: forms emerge from patches of colour, giving the picture a sense of movement and air. The signature "Цюпко О." with the date "26" appears in the lower right corner.

The palette combines sunny yellow, honey and amber with cool grey-blue and mint-green tones. The pale pearly background softens the brightness of the flowers, and the whole picture feels light and gentle. The mood is joyful and springlike: an image of the first warmth, morning light and the freshness of a garden after rain.

Orest Tsyupko is a Ukrainian painter, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and director of the Khust City Art Gallery. Natural motifs hold an important place in his work, conveyed through harmonious colour combinations and expressive composition.

The 70 × 60 cm format suits a kitchen, dining room, bedroom or small living room, and the light yellow and green palette will bring warmth and light to an interior even on a grey day. The painting pairs well with light wood and white or grey walls. It makes a pleasant gift for a woman, a colleague or anyone who loves spring and flowers.
