“Carpathians. Dovbush Rocks” by Sergiy Negrebetsky — an atmospheric mountain landscape dedicated to one of the most recognizable natural landmarks of the Ukrainian Carpathians. The artist depicts a rocky slope with a solitary tree, opening onto a broad panorama of mountain ridges and forests stretching into the distance.

A significant part of the composition is devoted to the sky. Massive clouds painted in delicate shades of pink, lilac, and gray-blue contrast with the clear blue expanse, creating a sense of constantly changing light. The distant mountains gradually dissolve into an atmospheric haze, giving the relatively compact landscape a remarkable sense of spatial depth.

The foreground is painted with greater density and texture: cool gray and violet tones of the rocks are complemented by muted greens and warm ochre accents of vegetation. The solitary tree on the rocky slope becomes the compositional focal point and emphasizes the scale of the surrounding mountain landscape.

Nehrebetskyi's painting is characterized by close attention to light, atmosphere, and subtle color transitions. In this work, a realistic foundation is combined with free brushwork and a gentle Impressionistic treatment of light. Rather than simply documenting a particular location, the painting conveys the atmosphere of the Carpathians — their vastness, the freshness of the mountain air, and the tranquility of nature.

The 50 × 60 cm format makes the work suitable both for a private collection of landscape painting and for display in a living room, study, or bedroom.
