Tishetsky Valentyn - Ukrainian artist

Tishetsky Valentin

Tyshetskyi Valentyn is a distinctive Ukrainian painter whose canvases captivate with their sincerity, softness, and surprising simplicity, possessing an unparalleled alluring power. In his picturesque works, an enchanting world is skillfully created, into which the artist seems to invite the viewer to savor the beauty of what is seen.

Born on September 20, 1951, in the village of Kryzhopil in the Vinnytsia region, Valentyn Tyshetskyi felt an undeniable pull toward drawing from childhood. Despite an early dream of becoming a writer, the beauty of his native Podillia region and the impressions from moving during his childhood, especially the period living in Lviv where he attended art school, ultimately defined his artistic path.

Valentyn Tyshetskyi received his professional art education in Moscow, graduating in 1978 from the Moscow Art College "In Memory of 1905" (now the Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Artistic Pedagogy). Perhaps this is why the artist considers himself a representative of the Moscow School of Painting, whose elements and traditions he strives to convey in his works.

Since 1993, Valentyn Tyshetskyi has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, which recognized his talent and contribution to the development of Ukrainian art. He actively works in the field of easel painting, creating works in which the spirit of southern Podillia is clearly felt.

The artist's creative activity is marked by participation in numerous regional, national, and international exhibitions and competitions. In 2000, at the international competition "2000 Years Under the Star of Bethlehem," his work "It Got Warmer" received the collectors' jury prize. In 2005, he took first place in the Vinnytsia painting competition "Polish Architecture in the Landscapes of Podillia."

Valentyn Tyshetskyi was recognized as "Person of the Year" in Vinnytsia in the "Artist" category (2009), and had also been honored with this title previously. In 2010, his work was included in the album "Ukrainian Fine Art of the Beginning of the 21st Century." In 2016, he was awarded a commemorative medal of the L. I. Kuindzhi Memorial at the international landscape exhibition in Mariupol.

The artist has held numerous solo exhibitions in Vinnytsia (2011, 2019, 2021), Lviv (2012), Odesa (2013, 2014), and Zhytomyr (2019). He is also an active participant in plein air events held in Khmilnyk, Koktebel, Sedniv, Vinnytsia, Nemyriv, and other picturesque locations.

In addition to creating paintings, Valentyn Tyshetskyi is involved in the artistic design of books by well-known Ukrainian poets and prose writers.

Valentyn Tyshetskyi's works are held in prestigious collections, including the Administration of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Embassies of Ukraine in Kazakhstan and Austria, the Vinnytsia Regional Art Museum, the Myrgorod Local History Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in Kyiv, the Mykolaiv Regional Art Museum named after V. V. Vereshchagin, the Kuindzhi Art Museum in Mariupol, as well as in numerous private collections in Ukraine, Israel, the USA, Canada, Italy, Russia, Austria, and Kazakhstan.

The portrait genre is also close to Valentyn Tyshetskyi's heart. His portraits are distinguished by their saturation with light, attention to the inner world of the person, a desire to convey the beauty of the subject, and the harmony of the image.

Valentyn Tyshetskyi's art is a sincere dialogue with the world, filled with love for his native land and people. His paintings evoke a sense of peace, harmony, and belief in the beauty of simple things.
