Nechvoglod Nikolay

Nechvoglod Nikolai Nikolaevich (1934, Sumy region - 2020) - honored artist of Ukraine

Ukrainian graphic artist, watercolorist, painter, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1985). In 2008 he won the A. Danchenko Prize. In 2010. - 2010 - diploma winner of the International Program "Art Olympus", and in 2011 - winner of All-Ukrainian Program "Art Olympus" of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. - Diploma winner of the All-Ukrainian program "Golden Fund of the Nation".

Born November 30, 1934 in Velyka Pisarevka (Sumy region). He began to draw since childhood. His father allowed to draw until late at night. After the 2nd World War, a local artist P.S. Obidets returned to Sumy, and Nikolai Nikolaevich watched his creative work. And from the age of 16, the future master of watercolors began to work independently as an artist-decorator. A landmark meeting for the future artist was the meeting with a teacher of fine arts Bonchevsky Nikolai Demyanovich. Studio lessons under his guidance influenced the formation of artistic abilities of the future artist.

From 1951 to 1953 he studied at the art studio in Sumy and worked at the factory. Performed numerous orders of holiday decorations at cultural events in his native village.

In 1971, he graduated from the Fyodorov Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute. I. Fyodorov, Department of Book Illustration, his teacher was M. Ivanov.

Since 1985 he became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. From 1985-1987 - worked as the chief artist of the "Artist" plant in Kiev.

Actively participated in creative plein airs in Ukraine abroad. Since 1988 in the creative work. "Graphics has become my profession, for I am keenly aware of all the beauty of artistic creation, where the line, stroke, light and gradations of light are dominant. Group exhibitions soon changed to solo: Kirovograd (1980), Sumy (1981), Cherkasy (1982), Vinnitsa (1983), Kiev, gallery "Miteets" (1995, 2010), KPI (1996), the Academy of Internal Affairs (1997, 2005), Uzhgorod (1999), National University. T. Shevchenko National University (2000), Mint (2001), Pereslavl-Khmelnytskyi (2003), UN Ukrainian Mission in Kyiv (2003).

The creative heritage of the artist can be divided into a series of paintings consisting of landscapes, portraits of contemporaries, illustrations of books by prominent Ukrainian writers, and still lifes.

The main works: "Winter near Kiev" (1985), the series "Kara-Dag", "Ai-Petri" (1987), "Border Trails" (1989), "Vorskla in Spring" (1997), "Autumn in the Carpathians" (1998).

Works Nechvoglod N.N. are stored in many museums of Ukraine, in the Directorate of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, in private collections in Ukraine, Germany, Britain, Italy, Spain, Vietnam, China, Austria.

Died in Kiev on September 28, 2020.
