Dovhaniuk Yevheniia - Ukrainian artist
Yevheniia Dovhaniuk is a contemporary Ukrainian artist. She was born on September 16, 1987, in Ivano-Frankivsk. Her first steps in the world of art began at art school, where the future artist mastered classical techniques and learned to see beauty in details.
A desire to gain a deeper understanding of the structure of the surrounding world led Yevheniia to study design and, subsequently, to pursue professional architectural education. She graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTUNG) with a degree in Architecture (Bachelor's), which provided a foundation of knowledge in composition, perspective, and the interaction of volumes. Continuing her academic path, she studied at one of the country's most prestigious institutions—Lviv Polytechnic National University—where Yevheniia Dovhaniuk deepened her knowledge in the field of urban planning.
It was this dual experience—academic architectural precision and the free creative spirit of a designer—that became the foundation for her unique artistic style. For Yevheniia, the canvas is a space where the laws of physics give way to the laws of harmony, and architectural plans are transformed into emotional landscapes.
In contemporary Ukrainian art, Yevheniia Dovhaniuk stands out for the unique synergism of the rational and the emotional. Her work is a deep exploration of space, color, and the inner state of a person through the language of abstraction. For her, it is a way to convey what cannot be expressed through concrete images.
In her works, one can feel the dynamics of natural elements and the silence of inner peace. The artist describes the main principle of her work as creating "with love and inspiration." She enjoys experimenting with color combinations, creating multilayered compositions that invite the viewer to decipher them like complex visual puzzles.
Yevheniia's public recognition and active exhibition career began in 2020:
"Reflections of Time": Participation in the Regional Exhibition of Contemporary Art became a manifesto of her vision of the reality of that time. The name of the exhibition symbolically reflected the artist's approach to creativity as a mirror of time.
"Bastion" Gallery: An exhibition in the famous fortress space of Ivano-Frankivsk confirmed her status as a master of abstract painting, capable of harmoniously integrating contemporary art into a historical context.
A new stage began in 2021 when Yevheniia Dovhaniuk participated in the regional exhibition of abstract art under the auspices of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. This event was a true triumph: all the paintings presented in the exhibition were purchased by collectors.
Yevheniia Dovhaniuk's paintings grace private collections in Ukraine, Europe, and Canada.
