Ukrainian, Odessa artist, candidate of cultural studies, assistant professor at the department of cultural studies and art criticism of the Ukrainian National Pedagogical University. She was born in Ismail (Ukraine), where she studied at the art school of V. Dudnik. Then graduated from the Odessa Art University. Then graduated from the Odessa Art University n.a. M.B. Grekov, as well as visited the workshop of the famous Odessa artist J. Egorov. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Odessa National University n.a. I. Mechnikov. Graduated from the Philosophy Faculty of Odessa National University named after II Mechnikov, as well as postgraduate department of Cultural Studies.
Since 2002, regularly participates in various art exhibitions, among them more than a dozen solo exhibitions, as well as international exhibitions. Works by E. Shchekina are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art of Odessa, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, Germany, France, USA and Israel.
