Kokin Mihail Aleksandrovich (1921–2009) - ukrainian painter. Studied at the Dnepropetrovsk Art College (1937 - 1941) graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1954). Teachers by profession - Repin's teachers and pupils - M. Panin, S. Grigoriev, V. Kostetsky.
A veteran of the Great Patriotic War, was awarded the Order of the Great Patriotic War of I and II classes, Order of the Red Star, many medals.
The chief artist of the Dnepropetrovsk art-industrial plant (1965-1987).
Took part in regional exhibitions since 1947, national - since 1957.
In 1957 he became a member of the National Union of Artists of the URSR. In 1976 he received the title of Honored Artist of URS, and in 2001 - People's Artist of Ukraine.
Worked in easel painting.
Works are represented in art museums of Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev, Chernigov, Donetsk, Kamenetz-Podolsk, Nikolaev, Zhitomir, Sevastopol, Kherson, museum-reserve T.G. Shevchenko in Kaniv, private collections in many countries.
