Shchekina Elena - Ukrainian artist

Shchekina Elena is a Ukrainian artist from Odessa.

Candidate of Cultural Studies, Associate Professor of the Department of Cultural Studies and Art History at Odessa National Polytechnic University.

She was born in 1980 in Izmail (Ukraine), where she learned the basics of craftsmanship in art school from V. Dudnik. Then she graduated from the Odessa Art University named after Mitrofan Grekov, and also attended the workshop of the famous Odessa artist Yuri Egorov.

A graduate of the Odessa National University named after Ilya Mechnikov, she completed postgraduate studies in cultural studies, specializing in philosophy.

She teaches philosophy of classical avant-garde and participates in international conferences. Participant of numerous exhibitions, as well as international fairs and projects.

Since 2002 she regularly participates in various art exhibitions - more than 10 solo exhibitions.

Elena Shchekina's works are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art of Odessa, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, Germany, France, USA and Israel.
