How the calculator works
The calculator uses the current Ukrposhta EMS tariffs for international shipments and picks the right tariff bracket by destination country. The size and weight limits for each country are baked in — if the painting does not fit, you'll get a clear notice and an offer to ship via DHL, FedEx, or UPS with a custom quote.
On top of the Ukrposhta tariff we add 20% VAT and the gallery's fixed handling fees: 1500 UAH for moving the box to the post office and 550 UAH for the customs/shipping paperwork per painting (480 UAH each when shipping multiple). The cost of the box itself is priced by the manager based on actual dimensions and packaging type.
