The gold leaf is free – this is a very thin foil that is used in the gilding technique to imitate gold.

Free leaf by Giusto Manetti (Made in Italy) is made from copper and zinc metal particles. It is available in three shades: #2 and #2.5 gold, and silver, in sizes 16 x 16 cm. Recommended for gilding smooth or slightly textured surfaces.

Gold No. 2 – 88% copper, 12% zinc

Gold No. 2.5 – 86% copper, 14% zinc

Silver - 100% aluminum

Application: Gold leaf is used as a primary or secondary decorative element in gilding designs and restoration work. It's an excellent solution for finishing various interior items, furniture, frames, and moldings. Mixtion adhesive (water-based, water-acrylic, and alcohol-based) is used for bonding steel.

Directions for use:

1. Clean the surface to be decorated of dust and dirt. Apply gilding adhesive and let dry (drying time depends on the adhesive chosen).

2. Carefully apply the gold leaf with a special brush. Wear cotton gloves while working (to prevent oxidation of the gold leaf).

3. After this, smooth out the gold leaf evenly with a kolinsky brush, lightly tapping the surface with the brush or a cotton swab and collect the remaining gold leaf.

4. Treat the coated surface with varnish to protect metal surfaces to prevent oxidation and mechanical damage.

Packing method: The ceiling sheets are folded with a slight offset for ease of selection and packed in paper envelopes.
