ROSA Start Firing Set in a Wooden Case
- Overview
- Characteristics
Wood burning is one of the most popular folk crafts, originating alongside other artistic woodworking techniques such as wood carving and painting. Today, wood burning is used as a standalone method of decorating woodwork, as well as in combination with other decorative techniques.
A special device called an electric kiln is used for firing. Its working element is a handle with a metal tip at the end. By selecting different tips, lines of varying thickness and configuration can be created, as well as patterned effects. The design is imprinted on the base by firing the upper layers of wood, and the longer the process, the darker the lines become.
Wood burning can create beautiful decorative effects, perfect for decorating furniture, drawers, cutting boards, bread bins, and more. Furthermore, wood burning can be used to create stunning souvenirs and paintings that will complement any interior or make unique, creative gifts for family and friends!
IMPORTANT: Before starting work, be sure to read the operating instructions for the kiln!
We've made sure the process is as convenient and engaging as possible. The kit includes all the necessary materials.

2. Replacement of attachments is carried out only when the device is switched off.
3. Do not test the heating level of the nozzle with your finger.
4. Do not bring the hot nozzle close to your body, hair or clothing.
5. The switched-on device should be kept on a special stand.
6. Do not twist or bend the wire.
8. Avoid contact between the hot nozzle and the cord.
Adviсe:
- Hold the handle of the tool like a pencil.
- Start applying the design from the outer contours.
- Create straight lines with quick, light movements without pressing.
- To increase the thickness of the stroke, you need to reduce the speed of the tool.
- To obtain dots or curved lines, hold the burner perpendicular to the surface of the board.
- Do not press the pen too hard against the wood surface or slow its stroke too much. After finishing drawing a line, lift the pen off the surface with a quick movement.
– Don't draw several lines close together. The wood will become very hot and the spaces between the lines may burn. Therefore, it's important to wait until the wood has cooled before returning to adjacent areas.
- The color of the lines in the drawing can be changed. It will darken as the kiln heats up.
- Change the shape of the strokes by experimenting with the tilt of the pen, the pressure on it, and different attachments.
- Sand the finished design with fine-grit sandpaper. If desired, paint it or immediately seal it with a glossy or matte varnish.
