Damar Matte Varnish is a varnish based on synthetic resins and white spirit with a slightly yellowish tint. Ready to use, suitable for brush application, it creates a transparent matte protective film. It has a pronounced matte effect (40% solids content), is characterized by good flow and slow drying.

PROPERTIES AND APPLICATIONS Matte damar varnish is used after the completion of a piece of art or restoration project to create an effective protective film against dust, grease, smoke, scratches, weathering, and aging. Matte damar varnish also has a second important function: it often happens that after the completion of a new work or restoration, some areas appear brighter, while others appear duller. Matte damar varnish helps even out the work and enhance the colors. It can be used to protect both oil and acrylic works. This varnish is not suitable for food consumption, so do not use it on surfaces intended for human or animal consumption, such as dishes, cups, etc.

HOW TO USE: Remove dust from the surface to be treated. Shake the varnish well before use. Apply to the surface with a brush and let dry.

Apply a second coat if necessary. Apply the product only to completely dry paintings. Test the surface first.
