Gum Arabic for Gouache and Watercolors (008), Royal Talens – a viscous liquid that solidifies in air.
It gives watercolors their characteristic shine, depth and glossy appearance , increases the solubility of the dried film. Does not change the shade of the paint.
Gum Arabic slows down drying and improves covering power. After drying, it forms a non-cracking, transparent film that can be re-dissolved or washed off with water.

Makes gouache and watercolor more transparent. Increases gouache's elasticity, thereby reducing the risk of cracking in thick layers.
