Kirichenko Sergey - Ukrainian artist

Kirichenko Sergey - Ukrainian painter, famous Odessa artist. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1994). Participant of many international, all-Ukrainian and regional exhibitions.
He was born in 1959 in the city of Nikopol. He graduated from the Nikopol Metallurgical College in 1978, then from the Odessa Grekov Art School in 1991. Teachers in the specialty: Vitaly Alikberov, M. Foroshchuk, Sofia Sherengova.
The thirst for drawing came to Sergey already in adulthood: after the metallurgical college, he went from his native Nikopol to Odessa to enter the famous "Grekovka". Until 2014, Sergey created abstract canvases, and now he boldly experiments with different techniques and materials.
His paintings are characterized by philosophical nature and impressionistic observation.
The open and sincere decorativeness of the artist's paintings is captivating - all of Sergey's works embody the power of resistance: "life squeezes you, but you do not give in, you want to blossom." That is why a magical, flower-decorated land, filled with cheerfulness, warmth, tenderness, appears in Sergey Kirichenko's works - as an overcoming of dark times not only by the author, but by the whole country.
Participated in exhibitions: city, regional, republican, foreign (since 1981). Personal exhibitions - in Odessa (1993, 1996, 1998, 2001-2002, 2006, 2009).
His works are in the Odessa Art Museum, the Odessa Municipal Museum of Private Collections named after Alexander Bleshchunov, the Khmelnytsky Art Museum and private collections in Ukraine, Europe and the USA.
