Basanets Anton
Born on January 20, 1981 in a simple working family in the small town of Nizhyn (Chernigov region). He graduated from Nizhyn State University named after Nikolai Gogol.
Since his school years the artist was fond of drawing, notebooks and textbooks were decorated with portraits of classmates and picturesque landscapes. This was his art school, but he did not receive a special education.
He began painting in oil at the age of 25. A difficult breakup with his beloved required an outlet of emotions and energy, and so the first paintings appeared.
In 2012 was the first exhibition in Odessa, the same year the first works were sold. His work is - a trial of different styles and search for himself. This intersection results in unusual, touching and nostalgic works.
