Zigura Egor – is a well-known Ukrainian sculptor whose work is characterized by a deep comprehension of the ancient heritage in the context of contemporary issues. Works in creative tandem with his twin brother - Zigura Nikita.

Born in 1984 in Dnipro, the industrial heart of Ukraine, Egor Zihura showed an early inclination towards art, which he successfully pursued, graduating from the Taras Shevchenko State Art Secondary School in 2003. His further studies at the Faculty of Sculpture of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (2003-2009) laid a strong foundation for his professional mastery.
In 2012, Egor Zigura became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, which emphasizes his significant contribution to the development of contemporary Ukrainian art. His professional path also includes teaching; he shared his knowledge and skills with students at the Kyiv National Karpenko-Karyi University of Theater, Cinema and Television, instructing in drawing and sculpture. In 2012, Yehor Zihura joined the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, underscoring his significant contribution to the development of contemporary Ukrainian art.
In Egor Zigura's work, a clear dialogue with the classical heritage is evident. He not only skillfully masters canonical forms but also infuses his sculptures with contemporary conceptual ideas aimed at understanding the pressing issues of global society. Among the key themes that concern the artist are the problem of individual identity in a multicultural world, the critique of excessive consumerism, and growing environmental threats.
The sculptor experiments with a variety of materials, combining classical ones – bronze, metal – with modern ones, such as polyester. This eclecticism allows him to find the most expressive means to embody his creative ideas.
The international recognition of Egor Zigura's talent is confirmed by his active participation in prestigious international art events, including renowned auctions at Phillips and Sotheby's, and prominent art fairs such as Spectrum Miami, Art Palm Beach, Kölner Liste, Tokyo International Art Fair, and Volta Basel. His sculptures also find their place in significant sculpture parks, including Niwot Sculpture Park and Sculpture on the Lawn. The artist's works are held in numerous private collections in Latvia, Denmark, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Singapore, the United States, Japan, China, and Italy, demonstrating his significant influence on the global art community.
Egor Zigura is the author of many monumental and park sculptures that adorn public spaces not only in Ukraine (Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv) but also in France, Australia, and the USA. His works, such as "Unification" (created in a creative tandem with his brother Nikita) and "Atlant," have become important elements of the urban landscape, attracting attention with their originality and profound meaning. Among Egor Zigura's notable exhibitions in recent years are his participation in the projects "Spaces. Borders. Boundaries" at the National Center "Ukrainian House," "White and Black" at the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, "My History. 32 Years of Independence" at the Museum of Kyiv History, as well as international projects "Origin(s): A Sky-Blue Horizon" in Italy, "Empreintes" in France, "Sculpture by the Sea" in Australia, and many others. These exhibitions demonstrate the breadth of his creative interests and his ability to successfully represent Ukrainian art on the global stage.
