Presented drawings show recognizable style of the great Ukrainian artist. Like most of the works, this style, the author's protest against the "single and correct" socialist realism. A simple, at first glance, subject is depicted in a very unusual, original form - here are contrasting forms, and cubism of Pablo Picasso, and modernism as a new vision of reality by the artist.
In Soviet times, there was only one "correct" direction in art - socialist realism, which was characterized by the huge role of ideology in its development. The work of artists in other directions (for example - avant-gardism, modernism) were actively persecuted by the Soviet authorities as a deviation from the "right" views. And yet, artists managed to find an outlet for their own creative expression of will. Thus, in the works of Turanskyi A.A. Ordinary socialist realism is presented in the author's, expressive style. And the distinctive feature of the painter should be noted brightness, contrast and light roughness of the forms, which give the artist's works a special coloring. Thus the artist challenges the established canons of Soviet times and creates his own independent style.
